The problem is not this thread but the general unwillingness that was
signalled in September 2010 regarding promises made by Garret Damore in Summer
2010. This caused a lot of time I put into work for Illumos to be wasted and
Illumos to lose credibility. Note that these proposals have been made in order
to convince me to work with Illumos instead of starting own activities. I was
willing to collaborate but Illumos soon signalled that there is no will for
collaboration in Illumos.
Are you willing to change this?
I am interested in setting up a phalanx of OpenSolaris activities because this
is the only way we have a chance to continue with OpenSolaris development but
this is hard as long as Illumos is not willing to play nicely.
I recently tried to build a bridge by propising that Illumos should implement
the proposals from Summer 2010 to regain credibility. Unfortuntely there was no
reaction.
